Movie, TV and comic book prop replicas by Ricardo Coutinho Dos Santos

I spotted these amazing prop replicas shared in a group while browsing Facebook. Thundercats, He-Man, She-Ra, Dungeons & Dragons, Superheroes and villains, quirky props and cult horror movies all feature in this great looking replica selection. Unbelievably, this talented artist makes these awesome items for his friends and fellow cosplaying brethren and has no website or Facebook page that I can find.

I’m not linking to Ricardo directly as getting bombarded by randomers asking questions might not be a high priority in this man’s life but these are way too good not to share. If you do want to contact Ricardo, he lives in Brazil and his first language is Portuguese.

For a larger selection of Ricardo’s work check out my Flickr Album.

San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Cosplay Special

With so many of us stuck at home watching the events of Comic-Con unfold on YouTube, TV and social media here is a cosplay blog so we can all marvel at the amazing creations brought to life at his years event.

I’m from the UK so chances are I might only get over to San Diego once in my lifetime (unless I win the lottery or they invite me over because I’m awesome) but I’m certainly not jealous of all that crazy queuing for everything. You might think us Brits enjoy standing in orderly lines waiting for tea and crumpets but we really don’t.

This blog will be updated throughout the weekend so it’s probably going to get rather long, get ready for some epic scrolling. Are you the person under the mask / wig / makeup? Message me and I will add credits and links to the images.

Geeky Nesting Dolls by The Butler Art

I own a set of nesting dolls that belonged to my mum, the traditional Russian kind.

The Butler Art has produced some brilliantly geeky, but disturbing, nesting dolls featuring Ghostbusters, Mario and Friday the 13th. They would look great ‘nesting’ on my shelf.

Kung Fury – An Over-the-top 80s Style Action Comedy

Kung Fury is an indie over-the-top action comedy that has it’s foundation in 80s cop movies. Combining elements from 1980s games, pop culture and fist pumping music the team at Laser Unicorns have produced this awesome crowd funded movie. Think Hobo with a Shotgun & Planet Terror mixed with Streets of Rage & Time Bandits.

Highlights include a Nintendo Power Glove & ZX Spectrum (with Microdrives) time hacking scene, talking dinosaurs, an 80s cartoon homage, the killer robot arcade machine,  David Hasselhoff and an epic final (?) battle sequence that will literally kick you in the balls.  Check out the Kung Fury Website & Facebook Page for updates and behind the scenes photos and videos and watch the movie below!

Amazing Aliens Vs Predator Swedish Villa

Who wouldn’t want to live in a house like this? The brokerage firm Pontuz Lofgren AB is now selling a real ‘monster’ villa in Kalmar, Sweden.

“I’ve always had an interest in monsters and such. It’s a pity that the home theatre was never completely finished” said former owner Mic Klitterstrand.

The photos speak for themselves. Amazing! On the market for $320k if you fancy taking a punt. By the way…. they come at night, mostly.
